mr & mrs lindsay, alwoodley, leeds - a breath-taking multi-room bathroom transformation

30 July 2015

problem:

A typical suite refurbishment - Mr & Mrs Lindsay felt there en-suite and downstairs WC / cloakroom was due a redesign following a number of years of use. The fixtures themselves were still in fully working order and would be sufficient for years to come however they felt the rooms were outdated and started to look tired.

solution:

En-suite

Mr & Mrs Lindsay’s en-suite bathroom is larger than most housing a corner bath, separate shower enclosure, toilet and basin. The couple made it clear that within the refurbishment they weren’t looking to relocate any of the key fixtures as they were happy with the original layout – this was agreed as the existing suite was very well placed making great use of available space.

It was also made clear through design discussion that were wanted to keep the 4 piece suite as they felt having a bath & separate shower was paramount to suiting there busy lifestyle. With that More Bathrooms (More Build specialist bathroom division) surveyor & ‘design guru’ Paul Tarbard, began designing the en-suite which was later branded as a ‘bathroom refresh’. Using his creative flare to his advantage Paul incorporated a number of innovative designs into the workings of the key statement features – in particular the tiered vanity basin unit and low level lighting bath panel.

Cloakroom / Downstairs WC

Similar to the en-suite Mr & Mrs Lindsay simply wanted to brighten up and refresh their cloakroom / downstairs WC as previous the suite was dark due to the use of black tiles which made this small room feel smaller. With that Paul suggested removing the black tiles and replacing them with textured slab tiles further complimented with a dark wood effect enclosed cistern unit and matching vanity basin unit – simple yet very effective.

outcome:

A relatively simple rip out and refit job for both rooms that relayed heavily on using a number of innovative and fresh design’s and statement features. The key here was to deliver exactly what was requested but at the same time do it offering the best in product design – listening and absorbing customer information and requests.

It is often difficult to make a replacement job a breath-taking transformation as everything is in the same situ. It is only usually with a fixture shift around do you get an overwhelming response however that is exactly what was achieved on this job. Safe to say Mr & Mrs Lindsay were amazed and externally grateful, for not only making their dream rooms a reality, but doing so in such a friendly, efficient and professional manner.

what mr & mrs lindsay said about more bathrooms:

“Chris Wood was excellent from start to finish and a real pleasure to have in our home. More Bathrooms, part of the Passmore group, have been simply great from design to installation and we would happily recommend the firm.”
